NIGERIAN LAW
The
historical relationship between Nigeria and the United Kingdom has meant
that the development of both countries remains increasingly linked. The
United Kingdom remains one of Nigeria’s biggest trading partners.
Correspondingly, the Nigerians in the UK consist of a substantial portion
of the population. Whilst precise figures of the number of Nigerians in
the United Kingdom are not immediately available, the Home Office estimates
the number of Nigerians as approximately 2 million. This figure does not
include 2nd and 3rd generation Nigerians who hold British Citizenship.
The result is that the level of interaction between both countries remains
extremely high and has led to a lot of cross-border legal work.
Andrews
Solicitors has experienced lawyers who are qualified in both jurisdictions.
Our partners Andrew Onyearu and Charles Spiropoulos are dual qualified
